The ingrained nature of ENT is to notice and engage the various patterns in an intuitive fashion. New information is gathered by looking for new and interesting patterns in daily experiences. Looking for and forming new patterns is one of the most interesting activities for ENT as well as the most preferred way of interacting with the world.
The associative function of ENT is introverted thinking, using which they can create models of the world around to figure out what is interesting and what is not. They can use the ingrained Ne to come up or imagine new possibilities and run it through the critical Ti, which helps them explore and understand abstract concepts as well as concrete life scenarios.
Their exploratory is made up of extraverted feeling, which relishes in people to people contact. They use this to generally have fun as well as to debate their ideas and bounce it off others to improve their understanding or have some harmless fun. Although the feeling aspect is not their main strength, due to it being their exploratory, they are still alert to the possibility of offending people by their debating nature. They like to stay on the good side but are not averse to taking risks.
Regulatory of ENT is made up of Si, which is used to fine tune the other functions in a way that is in tune with their previous experiences. They use this to keep track of what is important, but also can get overwhelmed if presented with lot of details. Combined with Ne, they sometimes start a lot of projects but don’t have the patience to finish them through. With the combination of exploratory Fe, ENTs can easily get irritated and get defensive when their mistakes pertaining to their sensing side are pointed out by others. This may come across as odd due to their debating nature, but the ENTs are generally defensive only on their sensing side, they are okay to discuss alternate theories and possibilities with others, even about things that are very important to them, most of the time.
