Introverted Intuitor Thinker

Primary Functions (Strengths and Motivations) Shadow Functions (Sources of stress)
Ingrained: Introverted Intuition (Ni) Extraverted Intuition (Ne)
Associative: Extraverted Thinking (Te) Introverted Thinking (Ti)
Exploratory: Introverted Feeling (Fi) Extraverted Feeling (Fe)
Regulatory: Extraverted Sensing (Se) Introverted Sensing (Si)

The ingrained nature of INT is to fit all the information available and make sense of it as different perspectives. The INT uses this to understand the world and make predictions. Since it is a perceiving function, INT using this can come up with accurate predictions even without understanding the mechanisms behind it.

Associative function of INT is extraverted thinking, which means the INT actively looks to complete tasks to keep himself or herself occupied. In combination with ingrained Ni, INT improves his or her skills with each time for a particular task, becoming more efficient as time goes by. They like to evaluate their intuitive understanding by applying it and testing it out in concrete tasks. INT is capable of attending to both routine tasks as well as innovative tasks, as long there is something to be gained in the short or long run. The INT generally likes to plan ahead using Ni for getting the optimal results.

Introverted feeling forms the exploratory of INT, which with its ethics and expectations, attaches social importance to their abilities, turning them into a responsible member of the society. Since it is their exploratory, they might naively assume that social status naturally follows due to their better understanding or ability to get things done efficiently, which might not be the case always. So, with time, the INT may not express themselves fully when they feel the environment is not supportive or appears unfair.

The regulatory function of INT is extraverted sensing, which is used to fine tune the creative and spontaneous nature of INT in a sensible fashion. Being their least confident function, it is not quick in identifying immediate possibilities or how things affect the senses like in for other types with dominant extraverted sensing. But it can work with other functions in order to keep the INT grounded and practical. They can get overwhelmed if engaging in a task that requires keeping track of lot of minute details. If presented with lot of options that require evaluation and immediate response, they might freeze, especially if there is no clearly defined way of picking one option or if their response might have social implications. This can negatively affect them in social sphere, like in initiating conversations or in romantic settings.
